Benjamin Marsh serves as pastor at First Alliance Church in Winston-Salem and assumed the role of chair of Monarch’s Board of Directors in January 2021. He first joined Monarch’s Board in 2014, representing Club Horizon, a psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) program in Raleigh, when it became part of Monarch’s family of services. He has provided leadership on the Board’s Executive Committee as an at-large member over the past several years.
Marsh grew up in Cary, North Carolina where he served as pastor at Cary Alliance Church before joining First Alliance in 2018. He received his Master of Divinity degree in Ethics from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Duke University.
He and his wife, Olivia, have two daughters, Aurora and Alice, and a dog, Hank. When he’s not rooting for the Blue Devils, he loves hiking and writing. He is also an active volunteer at Monarch’s Studio 651 day program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Winston-Salem and has connected members of his congregation to the program as well.
